Unhappy embarrassment

just finished my 93 GT, 351 EFI, cowl hood, 3 grand in the paint, chrome waffle rims. looks awsome, paint is like a mirror.

Anyway, I installed dual 12 inch electric fans because it was over heating at idle let it run in the garage and the temp was fine.

Took it out to show my buddies for the first time since the paint job, (they were all at a party) I pull up and the radiator cap lets go, right in front of everybody. Steam and coolant everywhere.

turns out the lip on the radiator was bent so the cap didn't catch.

On the way home it died. The coolant fried the fan relay which for some reason killed the engine. It finally started but now the fans dont work. Will water/coolant toast a relay?

It's electrical. Anything electrical can be damaged by water. Relays are cheap, just replace it.

Good luck.

Take care,
