They're not all that fast.I never heard of sse2.I know of GT,GT1,SE,SE1,and SE2.The se2 is a 170hp 196tq fwd v6.
The se and se1 are 140hp 150tq v6.And the gt1 and gt are 175hp 205tq.The qeaker ones are 2.2L engines, and the stronger ones are 3.4L. Powerwise they seem pretty much like the older models. |

Could have been a modified '99-'01 Grand Am. GM Performance Parts has a supercharger to fit the 2.4L Twin Cam engine. There is also a turbo package available for the 3.4L V6 (which would include current models, too). Jaegermeister has the specs pegged.

Yeah, there's a supercharger for the 3.4 too, but who would put that and SSEi badges on a Grand Am.

I'd put a supercharger on it but I wouldn't badge it. If it's a daily driver, why not make it fun? You won't beat many sports cars, but you might just get the opportunity to embarrass some punk in a Civic with a park bench on the rear decklid and a fart can exhaust.

I'd put one on a Grand Am too if I had one. My friend has a 99 GT with one on it and every bolt-on, ported heads. Quick car but I still beat him The badges are just plain stupid in my opinion.

Hi Fellow GAGT.com members!! AMRAAM4, pull the cock from your a$s. I could just as easily say I will race my brothers car (It goes 9.65@138, top that in your friends Skyline). But mine will do just fine here in a few weeks. How about your RX7 vs. my SHO?

GrandPrix GTP and Bonneville SSEI are the only SC they make, 2004 may see a 4.4L V8 making 280HP in the Bonneville GXP.
