Is my mph fast enough to break into 10's
60ft= 1.86
1/4mi= 11.34 mph=124.39 I'm launching at 3000rpm and still have alot of tire spin on DOT slicks.How much improvement would I see on real slicks? I also have a busted front left strut. Would that hinder my 60ft times? And should I remove my front sway bar?What else could I remove to lighten my car. Thanks in advance for any responses. ------------------ 90 LX,full exhaust,Stage 2 Trick Flow heads,4.10s,southside uppers & lowers,Scorpion 1.7 rollers,GT 40 upper & lower,Under drives,30lb inj,B-303,Pro 5.0 shifter,70mm TB,75mm mass air,msd 6al,BBK cold air,adj fuel reg.,190lph,100lph inline, Hoosier D.O.T. slicks.150 shot NOS |

I would get rid of that front sway bar for sure, get a set of 70/30 or 90/10 drag shocks and "real" slicks. That should knock another .10 or so from your E.T.
Also relocate your battery to the hatch area. Remember, as soon as you break into the 10.99 range you will need a roll cage then. ------------------ '82 GT 351W C-4,BBK headers,Carter 625 carb,Comp.Cam,Flowmaster exhaust. 1988 GT...T-5,bone stock |

Thanks 82GT. How hard is it to relocate my battery to the hatch?

Easy if you get that 60' down. I ran a 10.65 @ 121.67 mph but had a 1.41 60'. Now my 60' has slowed but my ets are better. I went to a taller tire which hurt my gearing. When I went to my Victor 5.0 and 1 3/4 headers I made more power and the 26" tires wouldn't hold.

Damn 8850 how are you getting that kind of ET with 121mph. Thats awesome! Does your car weigh 2000lbs or something? If so how did you drop all the weight? Tell me more, i'm very interested in your setup. How well do the 28" slicks fit under your car.

More than likely 8850 has an automatic to be running that MPH and E.T.
Spike, you can buy a battery relocation kit for about $40-45. I am going to do that next to my '82GT I would say it's a simple task. The kit comes with everything you need(except a battery). ------------------ '82 GT 351W C-4,BBK headers,Carter 625 carb,Comp.Cam,Flowmaster exhaust. 1988 GT...T-5,bone stock |
