Which combo first....

hey all
i have an 86 gt. So far ive added headers, exhaust, pullies and timing. It is an AOD and i do plan to keep it! Transmission comes next for mods. So which does anyone recommend. I have about 1000 dollars.

1)Lentech valvebody
2)PI Stallion Converter
3)4.10 gears

I'd do the valve body and gears and still have some left over. the torque converter is pretty pricey it would take a big chunk out of your $1000 budget.

I'd say drop the money now and get the converter and a shift kit. You'll use up a good portion of your money, but keeping your tranny alive is as important as making the car fast.

Oh, and btw, the more mods you make, the more you'll want the converter. Make sure you get a good quality converter. Even though they are pricey PI Stallion converters are worth the money from everything that I've ever seen written about them.

yep, unit is right. get the converter and shift kit first, then gears later.
