i just converted a 84 into a 89 and i changed over the whole brakes including the master cylinder, booster ,calipers and proportion valve ect. i never blead the system but i did have a lil bit of brakes enough to stop the car if they were pumped but now they completely quit and i cant get hardly any fluid out of the bleeders and the fluid is full could it be the proportion valve?????????

Try loosening the hard brake lines from the flexible line and see if you get any fluid out then. If so your flex lines and broke internally. If you dont try going farther up in the system till you get fluid. When you do finally get fluid to come out youve found the block. Another possibilty is the the master is internaly bypassing. Maybe bad seals on the piston. good luck

I agree completely with Lethal5Oh, with these additions:

It doesn't take much crap to plug the system, that's for sure. Even a little hunk o' gunk in the proportioning valve...no, wait, especially a miniscule hunk o' gunk in the proportioning valve can screw it up. The passages in there are small, so if you don't get fluid up to there, you may have to tear it down & rebuild or at least clean it thoroughly using brake fluid or brake parts cleaner ONLY (anything else will degrade the rubber in the system). That's assuming a functioning master cylinder....speaking of which, since a master cylinder is so cheap, why the fudge didn't you just replace it with a new one, considering how cheap they are, and how old the one you're working with is???
