i'm not too schooled on whats out there for v6. if $$ is not an issue and you know where to find a twin turbo set up for v6, then get it. i'll bet the blower set up is on the shelf waiting for you though. blowers are exellent power producers, and easy to install, and transfer from car to car, if need be.

Check EBay. There are several listings. Just had a twin turbo setup for about $400 bucks. I am looking for a single turbo for my 5.0 Just have to be patient. How much of the work do you want to do? http://www.allfordmustangs.com/ is a great site for info and systems.

You have to decide exactly what performance you are looking for to determine the turbo/supercharger question. Typically you get a better ratio of HP produced to HP used to drive boost on a turbo (top end) but can get better boost off the line with a super. Good luck with your UPGRADE!!! |

If money isn't an option, why not start with a car that makes decent power, like an 03 Cobra? You're going to blow so much money to still not make as much power.

Any turbo setup will have to be custom. I mean totally, everything but the Turbo's will need to be fabricated, and then you will have to find someone who can tune it worth half a crap. This will only add to your misery.

Vortech makes a blower for the v6. This is a pretty decent setup and people can tune blower cars. If you want to be really different and have a car that is way below its theoretical potential, then try to do turbos. Be prepared to never drive the car tough. If you want to have a nice setup that runs, get a blower.

The nice thing about the turbos are that you can turn the boost up with a turn of a knob (until it blews up the motor), but your car will be down a month or two during the install usually, mine was down 3 months.

With a blower, one weekend and you are in business, but after you feel the boost, you want more and it can't be increased as easy as turbos. |
