Motor Plates
Mustang II> As I take out the clevland to put in a 460. I was wondering if motor plates would work better than mounts. Never used them before but they look good (header room). If I go with plates, should I use front & mid plates or just a mid plate? Also would this effect my tailshaft (stress) with transmission soild mount. This is a drag car and is tied, caged etc. HP will be in the 600 range w/ equal torqe. 2200lbs!! Thanks Guys

Try giving the guys at S&W Race Cars a call. The make/sell all sorts of motor plates for bunches of applications. They also sell mid-mounts and trans mounts. I'd think they'd be able to answer some of your questions about mounting the motor and how it'll affect the block & tranny.
