Question To chip of not to chip?

hey guys, wats going on? i just want to thank you guys for all the great advice that you have given me. ne wayz i have a few hundred dollars left in my budget for right now and i was wondering if it was a good idea to chip my 89 5.0? i got my brother a hypertech thermomaster for his 92 pee28 and he loved it. i was wondering if i should get one for my self. it supposedly added 20 more horses to his ride and now he can go faster than 110 mph. Wat kind of differences will it make for my car? should i get one or is there somthing out there for around $200 that would be a better idea. by the way, where is the stock computer located in my 89 ? i have looked in summit and i havent seen many chips out there for mustangs my year. wat would be a good one to go with? thank you

don't waste your money on chip, all they basicly do is advance your timing and if your car needs it to change the a/f ratio. if you geg one it's the last thing you want to get cause once you change anything it isn't going to work as well cause it won't be set for new combo.

a chip is a waste of money with the minor mods you have. subframes would be a better choice to spend some money on. you would still have cash left over to fill you gas tank a few times too!
