Post headlamp/parkinglamp operation

Has anyone had this problem? If so how did you fix it? My headlamps will come on but my parking and rear lamps will not come when the switch is pressed all the way in. However the parking and rear lamps will come on when the switch is halfway between the parking lamp and headlamp position. I checked the operation with another switch and new fuse and stil had the same effect. My harness also has a burn mark on the connector on the top middle slot. If I replace the harness connector will this remedy the problem. Any help PLEASE!!!!

Hi,
Holy cow! I an 89 LX and I have the exact same problem as you. Including the burn mark in the grey adaptor (it looks like a browinish tint in the middle right?)
I have been at this for weeks/months and still have no idea on how to fix this problem.

I too have tried several switches, and I still get the same problem. I have checked the connector for proper grounding and they all seem to be grounded.

Please, if you EVER get around to fixing this, can you please tell me (through e-mail perhaps: gautam@cubicdesign.com)

Thanks!
Bye!
