				 | Tire type I was wondering if khumo or kumo or how ever you spell it is a good tire for a Cobra R rim. Size 255/45/r17. I am poor and do not have much money. I need a good tire that handles good and does not ware out fast.

				 | My favorite, inexpensive tire that I have used in the Sumitomo HTR Z II. They rock for what you pay. You can get them at www.tirerack.com.

				 | Pepboy's Futuras are also a very good cheaply priced tire. Thats what I plan on going with next. 89 Cobra LX , make another change of the rear tires, this time to slicks, and you'll cut off atleast another 0.5 seconds

				 | Well, I beleive Yokohama makes a cheap 255/40/R17's. They were like $116 a piece. The type is called A520's. Here's a pic of the treadpattern.

NO, don't get those.... I made the mistake buying those and I regreted it. I bought those for my car when I just bought her. The car was completely stock. The tires barely lasted me a year. Not to mention how crappy my traction was on a STOCK GT. After those, I bought a set of Brigstone Potenza's. They are equlivent to the Firestone Firehawks. They were expensive and did their job at first. After about 8 months on them, they can't hold my car though 2nd. I do have A LOT more mods since then After the stupid Potenza's burn up, I'm going to get a set of Nittios. Tirerack.com doesn't carry them but they sell them at Discount Tire. My friend with a blown 347 convert loves them (347MOM)! They might be a little more then what you want but they will hold a lot of power. | |

				 | cyberstang5.0 , which of the futura's did you have? I've never tried them myself, but have heard good things for the price. You also have 17's right? Theres a big difference between even the same design tire in 15's and 17's. I'm looking at the 265/50 15" Futura GLS. I have 275/50 Nitto's right now, and can tell you that I will NEVER spend that much money those pieces of crap again. I bought them last August, and right now they are completely bald. And i didnt even drive on them for 2-3 months in the winter! So if my math is correct, they lasted me 6-7 months and only 2-3 trips to the dragstip (where they werent really any good anyway, 1.9X 60ft was my best)

				 | I got 225-50-16 on the Futuras. Not sure exactly what model though. All I know is they sucks for traction. I'm going to get the Nittio's cuz they have good traction. I never get the milage out of my tires for some reason anyways. . I don't care if they last 10K or 40K miles... |
