Question GT-40 tune up....

Hi all,

What should I buy next!

My setup now is GT-40 crate motor(270hp) with iron heads and b303 cam. Cobra upper and lower intake. And finally a rusty Dynomax Super Turbo cat back system.

Since i live in Europe in Sweden, I don't have so many peole to help me out of what I should buy?!

I have been thinking of to buy new headers(Shortys?? FMS, BBK MAC??), throttle body 65-75?? and new cat back exhaust. Is that the right way to go or should I buy something else first?

I'm a bit on a budget since I have to freight everything to Sweden.... So parts that give the most HP for the buck is appricated.

//Matt

I'de go with a set of underdrive pulleys and possibly a 65mm throttle body.

offroad h-pipe if you dont have emissions testing over there

pulleys are good, unless your charging sytstem isnt up to par

BBK shorty headers are a good choice (i love mine)

and the best bang for the buck......NITROUS (not sure if there's many refilling stations over there though)

oh yah, i didnt notice any gears in your sig

you definately need to get a set of gears next, I'd reccomend 3.73's or 4.10's depending on how much highway driving you do

Default I would also suggest gears

Maybe advance your timing a little too, and maybe an aftermarket shifter. Take care, Keith

Thanks for the replys.

I think I'will go for the gears and a throttlebody.

I usually drive around 80-85mph on the highways in sweden, will that be annoying with the 3.55 or 3.73 gearing ? and for the throttlebody which size 65mm or 70mm ?

Default nah, you should go with 3.73 gears

If you're mostly going 85-90, you'll enjoy the 3.73's a lot better. I have them and I love them. It's your choice though, that's just my preference, take care, Keith.

go with a 65mm. Anything over that and your might start getting throttle lag.
