Default Where can I dispose of coolant (legally)

I have a gallon and a half of used coolant sitting in my garage that I need to get rid of. Does anyone know of a place that disposes of it? Thanks, Keith

Don't know about the west coast but over her on the east coast (well almost, PA) they post that info in the paper occasionally. I think maybe Jiffy Lube and Wal-Mart willtake it.

Default Auto supply stores

I think most auto supply stores like AutoZone and PepBoys will take old motor oil, tranny fluid, and anti freeze.

How far away from Ventura do you live? I heard cats like antifreeze....

Just playin PKRWUD, cats are cool. I like big dogs the best, but I'd take a cat before I would a little yippy dog.

Default well, I'll be in Ventura in 2 weeks, lol

I think I'm better off going with Autozone though, did you see Chris's psycho ID card? I'm not messing with him or his cats, lol. I think I'll just go to Autozone, if they don't take it I'll screw them like they've screwed many of us. I'll just go there before they open and leave it on their doorstep if they don't take it, lol. I always thought they only took oil, but I guess I'm wrong. Thanks, take care, Keith

In my town, the City provides each household with recycle bins. One for paper, one for plastic, and one for glass. They also will provide you with a container for used oil. Every Friday morning you put the bins out on your front sidewalk and they come around with their trailer and dump it all in there. What I usually do with my old antifreeze is mix it with some used oil and put it in the used oil container. I know you're probably not supposed to do that, but they won't notice when they're dumping it and they'll have no idea it was me! Plus this whole service from the City is free, so it works out great! I don't know if they do that in many other towns...maybe just in smaller ones like mine (Pop. 6,200)...

Default I live in a small city too

but our population is 96000, lol. We are actually a small city too! They don't provide that service here, but I'm sure Autozone or Kragen, or Pep Boys will take it if you guys say they will. If they don't take it, they will after I go there . Take care, Keith
