				 | Will 97 explorer engine work in an 89 I found a 97 explorer engine at the junk yard and I was woundering if the block and the intake would work in my car? I almost forgot it has 58k miles and it is $1000 for the complete engine. They said they don't part out thier engines. What would I need to put it in?

				 | Will this give me a big horsepower gain, and is it worth the money?

				 | If you are in need of a new motor, then I'd go for it. The cam that is in those is the weak link in that motor. Throw a mild cam in there, as well as doing some mild porting on the heads and intake, and it will be one heck of a motor. You're gonna need to drill and tap a hole for the ACT in the #5 intake runner. Or you can always relocate it to the air filter box like the 94/95's have. You also will not be able to run EGR because the explorer gets its EGR from the exhaust manifold somehow. You could just use a different intake on it and sell the explorer one though.
