Angry Aah!! I missed a shift

Man I HATE doing that. Some of you know by my other thread "Stumbling over 4000" that I just changed my ignition coil. I just took the car on a test drive to see if that solved the problem and it seems to have. Only thing, on the second test, goin from 1rst to 2nd I ground 2nd kinda hard, but let off quickly. First time I've ever ground 2nd... this was the first time I took the car out today and I guess wasn't fully awake, mentally. I know I shouldn't be worried about it since it's not something that I do all the time. It's just that this is my new (as of April 2003) GT and my daily driver and I don't wanna tear it up.

I need some consolation. I know I'm gonna beat myself over the head all day about this......................

Default Ha-ha!

You are seriously posting because you missed a shift?! That's funny. I hate when that happens man. But your fine. Missing a shift, every once in a while is ok. As long as your trans doesn't begin having trouble going into that gear now? But I wouldn't sweat it. You gotta drive the hell out of your car...that's why we mod them out right...to get that adrenaline rush?!

Yeah, I know it shouldn't be a big deal. The tranny shifts fine... I dunno, I've missed shifts b4 (a few times going from 2nd to 3rd--BEFORE the Tri-AX), but I never b4 ground the stinking gear like I did today. Really annoys me! Makes me cringe.

The '92 is my daily car so I gotta go easy on it. The '79 is for dishing out punishment. Anyways, thanks for the consoling, guys.

A little grinding hear and there isnt a biggie, but if you are really that concerned, just change the tranny oil.
