| Blown 400+ horsepower easy? How much boost ? How much boost would you people say a non-intercooled blower would take to give me 400 + horsepower at the wheels with my set-up ? Intercooled ?

So you are looking for around a 33% gain. Answer to your question would be about 7-10 pounds of boost for a net gain of approx. 100 horsepower at the wheels. This is just in thery, but you get a good understanding of where you need to be. I would intercool it too.

 | From an ease of tuning and cost perspective, nitrous would be the easiest. A carbed blower or turbo probably would not be so hard to tune either though, just cost a ton more.

 | Do you guys think my motor could hold down 8-10 psi of boost if it was intercooled ? And it wouldnt blow the motor after a couple runs?

 | You would be fine non-intercooled too.

 | I do not have forged internals. What do you think would be the complete maximum amount of boost my motor could handle? And Horsepower? I dont want to over do it.

 | My setup should put 425-450 to the ground with only 8#. Hell, I got a stock 150k 89 block to boot!! You should be fine, just make sure the FMU is on right before starting.........

You won't be using an FMU with a carb though, they are all designed to run EFI pressures. There are websites that have info on blow-through setups, I would look into that a bit more.
