				 | Long tube headers? I'm looking into buying MAC long tubes with matching o/r h-pipe for my car. But I'm not sure what size would be best for my set up. Would it be better to run 1 5/8" or 1 3/4" primaries? I'm also looking into Dynomax Ultra flows, does anyone have these mufflers, and how do you like them? Thanks, Craig

				 | Go with the 1- 5/8 headers, I think the 1-3/4 might be too big for your combo. If you had a s/c then the 1-3/4 would work. No idea about the mufflers.

				 | We have MAC 1-5/8" long-tubes on our 88GT. Have a complete MAC setup, sounds great. We've got a problem where one of the tubes on drivers side rubs the steering linkage. We contacted MAC - they said to install new motor mounts. We installed Energy mounts, and we've still got the rubbing. If you can spring for it, get them JetHot coated! Our headers are rusting after about 2-years. JetHot will keep the headers looking nice and the coating also reduces heat under the hood. |

				 | I've got a set of Bassani stepped headers, 1-5/8" to 1-3/4" with 3" collectors, and a matching stainless 2-1/2" X-pipe for sale. The headers are coated and less than one year old. Headers has been worked at the flange for improved flow. These were on my S/W combination last year that went 10.508@130+. Asking for $500 + shipping FIRM. Check the Bassani website for new pricing...this combo is more than a grand new. Details on my website. Email tchambers2@neo.rr.com.

				 | I might be interested in the headers/x-pipe in a few weeks if they're still for sale.

				 | Mine are the AOD-specific Bassanis (although they'll also work with the T5/Tremec). My car has an AOD so there's no question that they fit.

				 | I asked the same question. Griggs Racing suggested the 1-5/8" headers. They said better torque, and easier fit. Not much gain at top end to justify the loss in midrange. This is on my 425rwhp with an S-trim roadrace Mustang.

				 | Go with the 1 5/8". My car has LOTS of snap with the 1 3/4" tubes, even without the blower, so I could only imagine how much better it'd be with 1 5/8". |
