Ive only been to the drag strip a couple times and because i was on street tires i just rolled through the waterbox. now i have a set of drag rad's and i think i should warm them up some. What exactly do you do? just rev it up and pop the clutch or should i use the brakes or the parking brake or what?

When you do a burn out with a manual transmission, you simply just dump the clutch to get the wheels spinning and with your left foot press the brake pedal. Try getting some practice on the street to profect this. Once you have mastered this go to your nearest drag strip and give a spin! Good luck |

well at the track i go to, there is no dry burnouts and you have to go through the waterbox to get to the lanes, thats why i said i just rolled right thru them when i had street tires.

You cant even go off the track like through the dirrt or rocks, Thats what I do down here at moroso and just clean them off with a burn out, beware of flying rocks!

When you roll through the waterbox, dont spin your tires. You will fling even more water into the wheelwells and will eventually drip down on the tires. Do a nice 2nd gear burnout with some smoke.

You could also install a roll control to hold your front tires. This is an easy install and is nice if you plan on doing much racing.

Or, you could do what I do. I wear a 13 shoe, so I say anyone can do this. I hold the brake with my right heel and gas with my right toes. To keep from doing
