				 |  27.5x10x15 Goodyear eagle Nascar on 15x7 mustang turbine wheel ? I just bought a pair of 27.5x10x15 Goodyear eagle for Nascar slicks and wonder if i can put those on my old mustang turbine wheel. Do you tink that it will work or its a deadly combo ? If you tink that's a bad combo, is there some cheap 15x8 with the correct bolt patern and backspacing i can found in a junkyard assuming that i have a 84GT with the 4 lugs? Tanks. |

				 |   The slicks are a little too wide for the rim, but throw em on anyway, it's just for the track.  Just let the air pressure down.   Oh and those NASCAR slicks are hard as hell, do a massive burnout to heat em up good so they'll hook. -Josh, aka the tireburner

				 |   I would go with a wider rim for a better contact patch, but it should work O.K.

				 |   You will probably gain nothing but wheel spin. NASCAR slicks have a stiff side wall even stiffer than a street tire. The no tread surface is not the only thing that makes a drag slick work it is the soft soft side wall that allows torque to multiply and release. |

 Not completly true. There are a lot of budget racers around here that run them. You've just gotta get a lot of heat in them, so massive burnouts are a must. When heated good they hook better than BFG DR's, although not nearly as good as a good slick. For the price, they get the job done.

				 |   I would need to see a 60' time for a NASCAR tire with a car having some RWHP because I have never seen anything better than a 1.9 and I can do that with my street tires. I doubt at my tracks they will allow a 5 minute burnout to get them to temperature. |

				 |   I finaly try the nascar slicks on the track, i manage to make a nice 1.865 60' !!  with a best time of 12.626 at 112.276 mph. So nascar slicks do really hook better than street tire. Tanks to everyone here at Mustangworks. |
