I have about $700 to spend on my mustang, but I am unable to make up my mind on what upgrade I want. I have an '03 GT. The only thing I have done so far is a cold air intake. I was thinking of doing either the exhaust or the underdrive pullies, 75mm throttlebody and plenum. Any suggestions on what I should do first.

Gears are on my list of things to do. I am leaning towards the exhaust for this round of upgrades mainly for the sound.

A couple weeks ago I bought some interior dress up items including a Billet headlight knob, but I can't get the old one off. I checked my trusty Haynes manual and it said to stick a small screwdriver or the like into the slot on the knob and push in the tab. I tried this with know success. Can anybody give me a hand with this. Am I missing something? |

A large paperclip (using the shaft) always worked for me. Just unfold the clip and insert into knob, pull...

Gears and exhaust. I just got the full SCT programming package so as soon as my dyno goes in the ground I'm going to start playing with the chips for my 01GT that is mostly stock. I'll try to post some of the results as they come along. I'm going to make my 01GT a dyno mule as it goes from mild to wild!

I say if you did the intake do the exhaust to get the full effect of the intake it breathes in better but not out then whats the point ya know what I mean. Gears are good bang for the buck but if you do the cold air and not the exhaust the you only did half the job. Just like when you do the gears make sure yours trans can handle the gear change whether it's a new clutch converter or shift kit what ever the case may be.
