				 | Disappearing face Are there any didappearing or hide-away head units out there that are any good or should I just stick with a removable face unit? I'm looking for a unit for my TC and like the idea of just turning the car off and forgetting about the stereo. Maybe I would be better offf just buying a cheap unit I don't have to worry about. |

				 | Re: Disappearing face The kenwood stop flipping about a year ago it 3 yrs old. The sony is about 3 years old and I havent had any problems with it. I paid about $400. for it. It has the flip face and has 2 displays, 1 when it opens and digital when closed and has a remote for cd player. By the way which car are sticking this into because I know alot about car stereos and might be able to help you build a system with the right stuff. My sunfire has a $9000 system and my tbird has about a $7000 system in it and my wife van has $2500 system, I am estimating a $3000 to $4500 system in my mustang when I get done with it and you wont see any of it inside the car only hear it except the trunk. I could tell you a great system set up for your mustangs.

				 | Re: Disappearing face Its going into my '88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Basically the same as a '79-'93 Mustang as they are both Fox Fords. It will be a while until I am ready to install a stereo as I don't have the car running since the engine rebuild. I had hoped to have it done this spring but I broke my ankle at Easter and am still healing and limping around. |

				 | Re: Disappearing face well when you do replace everything you should put 6 1/2 separates in front (6 1/2 on door and tweeters where 3 1/2 in speakers go. Back panels should take 6x8 or 6x9 in speakers) and to get a feel on what to buy talk to your students about what to buy (if they are into cars yet and old enough to know anything) amps, subs, etc.
