That time is about right for that year car and mods listed. It's a little heavier than the Fox bodied cars, so you have that working against you.
If you have access to Ford parts at a good price, get a set of heads, 1.7 rockers,GT-40 intake or Cobra intake, cam,and TB. All that stuff adds up to more than 2k retail, but maybe you can get a good employee discount. Those items alone will put you deep in the 13s....maybe the 12's with some good driving. A little more gear like 3.73s wouldn't hurt either. BTW, the Z-28 would spank you pretty hard as of right now. Add those mods and he might be in for a little surprise. |
