![]() "Brake Specific Fuel Consumption" It takes "X" amount of fuel to make "X" amount of horesepower. It's all physics.
In my opinion you got some fuel system issues. In tank is TOO much pressure, so right there you have to figure out how to get the fuel out of the tank. Granetelli pickup, old school (85 or earlier) pickup.... Stay the hell away from the mechanical pumps. Here again, just my opinion, but the "pulse" they give will make you crazy. Here's what I would do: Decent pickup out of the tank. GOOD Filter, Fram HG-1 comes to mind. FILTER BEFORE PUMP!!!!! Holley BLUE at least, might want to got with BLACK for the windsor. Get the fuel to the front via no less than 3/8" line (hard line or braided, your call!) REGULATOR!!!! Holley makes about the best for what you're up to. Summit's version is no more than rebuilt Holley, so you can save a couple bucks there. Up to the carb!!! If it was me, there wouldn't be ANY fuel line smaller than -6AN on the car, ANYWHERE! -8AN would be better. Hope this helps bro!
