I have spoken to AFR in the past week. I'm going with 165's though my future plans are for a stroker motor. The tech said 165's will provide great bottom and mid range even on a 347 inch engine. Obviously, the 185's flow more on the big end. The 165's and 185'ds have identical exhaust ports and flow numbers. It's only the intake runners that are different. The tech said the 185's require flycutting on the 302, so something to consider there. I think I'm going with 165's, and edelbrock performer intake, and I haven't picked a cam yet. I want to see how they work on another car so if you get em, please post!
