![]() You'll need a NHRA or IHRA rulebook for the basic safety requirements for the host tracks. I'm pretty sure that NMRA runs at all NHRA tracks, but FFW runs at both NHRA and IHRA tracks. These rulebooks will give you the safety requirements that you'll need in order to pass safety tech. Things such as rollbars, wheel stud, helmet, fuel system, etc. If you can't pass the host track's safety tech inspection, then you can't race whether its an organized event or just a weekend bracket race.
The NHRA/IHRA rulebooks don't give information about the specific NMRA/FFW classes and their rules restrictions. You'll need to get the rules for whatever class you plan on running directly from either of the racing organizations. Both orgs have their basic rules online, but their rulebooks are the final say-so and have more information & requirements than you'll find listed online. You can check their online rules though to figure out which class you'll fit into. If you plan on racing in either organization, get their rulebook. If you don't meet their class requirements, then you don't race. Its better to be well prepared then to show up for a race weekend only to find out that you don't meet the class requirements.
