My timing was at 18* on 92 octane... it was pinging once in a while on WOT. My car reference guy said to take it down to 8*. He said there was some chain thing (sorry...i forget what exactly it was) that was essentially making it 2* higher than what it was set at. Now, I think I would be ok at 14* because my car is in great mechanical condition and my car was only pinging occasionally... Also, I am curious about how much power I am losing from setting it to 8* (assuming no detonation...) Thanks, DoranW
