I was going to say the same thing as spinemup. It sounds like you might have a bent pushrod.

My rockers are adjustable. I don't need to shim them. They have adjusting nuts over the pushrod that you use to set the lifter preload.

I just wanted to say that the smoke has gone away, the noise has gone away other than the noise inside the intake which I was told was normal, so I think she's gonna be all right. I'll get some track times posted Saturday evening. Thanks guys =)
