When I replaced mine I also bought a new fuel gauge sending unit. The only gasket required was the rubber ring that installs between the sending unit and the gas tank. If you're not replacing the sending unit you can buy the rubber gasket seperately for a couple of bucks I think. If you're not replacing the sending unit, it's still a good idea to replace that gasket.
