Can anybody give a description of what an 11 (or 12) second car feels like to drive?
Scary the first time, which was my only time. You get a rush but it happens soooo fast and the feeling of not really having control of the car is the scariest part. Of course, worries about over-revving and blowing up someone's expensive engine or worse yet, losing it and hitting something make it extra intense but it's still a great experience that would have been even better had I been driving my own 11-second car. By the way, this was awhile back and it was a '66 Chevy II with a totally built 383 and not only did it run 11's but it could stop equally well (a revelation) and handled pretty good, too. |
