5.0 octane requirements
The Mustang 5.0 is made to run on 87 octane without knocking. That's with a good running engine and 'factory' ignition timing at 10 degrees.
Most Mustang owners advance the timing to 14 degrees for better performance but that requires higher octane gas; usually 92, minimum. |
