First off did you unplug the battery before you did the swap?, secondly, is the C&L with the 24lb tube, set timing at 10 - 12 degrees for now, the stock regulator will be just fine. Actually the Cobra computer is programmed for better driveability than the A9L, but the A9L is way more aggressive. i would do a stock temp stat and stock plugs too.
