Loss Power
I have a 92 mustang LX 5.0. I have lost about 50% ofmy HP. Here are the things I have checked:
I have checked the Idle Air controller, TPS, Wires, plugs, Distributer, cap, Rotor, and the fuel pressure regulator. Here is how the car is acting: When the engine is cold, it pops back through the intake and has absolutly no power. When it warms up, it idles fine and runs a little better, but if I give it 50 % or more throttle it boggs down. I have the timing set on 14 degrees and getting spark knock even running 93 octane. If I turn the timing down to the stock 10 degrees, I loose the spark knock but it has less HP than a 4cyl. engine. I have checked the timing with #1 cyl. to 0 degrees on the balancer and was dead on the money. Anyone who has any ideas or solutions please reply. Thanks |
