I run 17x9's on my lowered '93 GT. Yeah they do rub on the A-arm in the front and I'm not running any quad shocks, but it can be done. 17x8's would be a great choice if you don't want anything to rub and you want to leave the quads on. I would go with 245/45's all the way around though...235's look too low profile and wont look as good on an 8 in. rim. Just my 2 cents.
