Default not starting

Yep, had the problem. Have a 351 in an 87 LX. The problem is the starter is too close to the header. We put a shield on the starter, wrapped the header and use a 1000 amp battery. It does a pretty good job. When I replace the AOD with a c4 the starter should move farther from the header and help even more.
