Well...if you've hooked in the tach wire to the MSD box, it should be easy. The tach wire will be coming out of the tach port on the box. If not, here's what I did when I needed to get my tach working again after the ignition control module was gone (which I know isn't your problem...but I found the tach wire). I cut into the heat shielding that was on the wires to the ignition control module. Then, look for the tach sending wire (mine was green with a yellow tracer on it). Cut that out of the harness and hook it up to your window switch. This worked for my car, but I have an '84. It had the Duraspark II system, but it didn't have TFI. My guess is they're probably the same though. Good luck.
