![]() A few (12) years ago I put a Mechanical guage in my big block '79. At that time Auto Meter sold a "fuel guage isolator" to safely install it inside your vehicle. You mounted the isolator to your firewall and ran a line filled with anti-freeze ( I think it was a/f, I can't remember for sure )to your guage in your car. Worked great for me.
