The AODE (94-95) is a bit stronger, but it's also electronic, so you'd have to spend some extra money on a TCM such as the baumanator. That AOD can be built to handle whatever you can throw at it. Look into Performance Automatic for some beefier internals for it. It has a 2.40 first gear. From personal experience, I'd stay away from lentech.
