Default Tall valve covers/Edelbrock Performer

The only spacer that I know of for the Edelbrock Performer 5.0 is a 3/8". Will I be able to use the Tall Ford Motorsport covers with this setup? I doubt it will clear since you have to use a 1" with most other intakes. What are my options with the spacer and this intake?
