That's what I hear as well. I think most people that put them on either believe they will add big hp gains (kinda like stickers do ) or purchased them for their looks. I hear they dress up an engine fairly well. And here is my endorsement: if you got the time and money, go with a Vortech with aftercooler. If not, don't worry about it, plenty of other things you can do. But with a supercharger, you'll have the power to back up your bad ***** sounding Flowmaster system! Good luck and have fun
