A friend of mine ran from the cops in his 97 SS. My bud was speeding and saw a cop sitting by the road...instead of jambing the brakes, he downshifted and took off. The cop pulled out and gave chase. The SS was up to 120 and cruising. He came up to a big intersection and there was another cop car in the intersection trying to block his path. The SS rolled right through the intersection and turned up a side street. He hid in someone's driveway with his lights off for like an hour!! haha this took place at 2:00 a.m. so there weren't any cars on the road.
He may have gotten away but he was crapping bricks for the next week or so...Everytime the phone rang, he thought it was going to be the cops saying they got his plate #
