If you have an aod, a 3,000 stall would probably be acceptable although don't expect to get 20mpg from the thing, i personally would rather have the power than the mileage. A stock stall i believe is rated from 1800 to 2200 rpm, i think most after market companies make stalls around the areas of 2500rpm, 3000rpm etc. in certain ranges (stalls depend on hp/load).
