![]() Hello all.
I have a hollow rattle in my 98 GT Convertible. It's coming from either inside the dash, near the firewall, low near the tranny, etc. But it's slowly getting louder. Engine on or off doesn't seem to matter. My mechanic checked motor mounts, shocks, struts, bearings, bushings, etc. All checked out fine. It seems to be closer to the driver than those things. It's louder inside the car than outside. It can rattle pretty rapidly. It's worse when I hit the brakes and stop hard, forward or reverse. Any ideas? I could sure use the help. It's driving me crazy.
