![]() ive run into a problem..took my heads off so my friend could bring them into class (we go to UTI) and flow them. During the flowing a mishap occurs...blah blah blah.....bent exhaust valve. I figure..no problem. hes buying me a new one. He does. Its the wrong valve.. the lock groove is higher on the stem than mine... and the valve itself is shaped a little differently.(better) Now we have a problem...according to ford motorsports the valve i bought can be used in gt40 cast iron or aluminum heads... obviously not. Could they have redesigned the valves since i bought my heads 3 or 4 years ago? So now im looking for a valve. 1.54" Gt40 iron/ exhaust valve. please help... i really need to get my car back on the road. The parts guy at the dealership where i got the valve and I cannot figure out why the new one would be different from what I have.
