Default Help with advancing cam 4 degrees Anyone know ?

Hey does anyone in here know where I advance the cam to 4 degrees. Ford Racing told me to do so. Now my machanic turned the crank sprocket 4 degrees. Are we suppose to use a degree meter ? This is for the B-303 Cam
