![]() With 4.10s I only lost 1 mpg on average. Also, if you have a pretty much stock motor, your top speed will increase with 4.10s, not decrease because it will put you in the power band in 5th. I think 3.73s are a little weak for '99+ cars - if you look at where they make peak power the 4.10 is the best gear for acceleration. 3.73s are more optimal for a fairly stock '96-98 and 5.0s because they make peak power lower in the rev range.
