I like the idea of a 16 team playoff field, however you would be adding 4 games to the regular season which may be a bit much seeing as lots of teams are already play 12 and 13 game regular seasons. Maybe the top 8 would go to the playoffs. At least that way you wouldn't be leaving out a top tier contender like USC.
College football playoffs...gosh, could you just imagine the interest and $$$ involved in that!  E
