Default Copper vs. Platinum? plugs

I was looking through the archives...and saw lots of guys are having good luck with the Autolites 3924's. Just out of curiosity....are those gonna perfomr better then the Autolite Patinum's I put in the car a few seasons ago? The car sees about 2500 miles a year if I am lucky....but how long they last really does not matter to me...lookin for the best spark I can get.
