I use one on my car. Excellent low end torque and good from idle to about 5500 RPM. The Performer RPM may be a little better for higher peak power (1500-6000 RPM), depending on what cam and headers you're using. The air gap Elelbrock is supposed to be excellent for street applications as well if you have room under the hood to run it. Tough to beat the Performer when price is the main factor and hood clearance is limited though.
