Aurora Tires / New shoes for the Pony!
I am in desperate need of replacing the tires on my 01 GT (well, the back ones anyway). My local tire place is trying to sell me a set of their "Aurora" tires. Anybody ever heard of Aurora Tires? I looked at them, and they seem ok. I am not able to locate much information on them as far as how they hold up. Anyone have any experience with them? I wanted to get a set of Pirelli PZero Nero M/S, to survive the unpredictable New Jersey weather. I got a quote of $195.00 each mounted and balanced, and the Aurora tires were $118.00 each. Anyhow, I am looking for suggestions on what you guys run on your cars. Mine is a stock GT with a manual trans. I have traction control too, which gets a workout with the horrible toyo tires that are currently on it. By the way, my work ride is a newer model Crown Vic Police Interceptor, and the department runs Goodyears on them, but I don't think I would ever buy them for my own ride. I am not at all impressed with the way they handle, unless I am going straight and it is dry. Any thoughts or suggestions?
