Just a quick thought. You have 2 hoses coming out of the firewall to the motor. 1 goes to the water pump the other I believe is to the thermastat housing. Is it possible that the hoses are by passed together. You would get air out of your heater box but no heat. Check these hoses for heat. Hoses could be reversed? Just a thought
