For the love of god, someone please help!!!!!

The EGR valve is pretty new (guy who owned car before me replaced it 6 months before he sold it to me), i took it off and there wasn't any carbon buildup on it, and the EVP sensor is about 1 month old and they're both motorcraft parts. I think i may have gotten the wrong gasket with the EVP sensor that's why i took it off, and i haven't been able to locate any others in any parts store or dealership parts place.
